I have begun to offer face to face sessions. I also offer video sessions if preferred.

How I Can Help

 

When we suffer from anxiety and depression or are locked into all sorts of negative feelings and behaviours, we lose our ability to think. Everything becomes too overwhelming. We can go into spiral, not being able to think properly about what is really going on. This affects our self-esteem and we get stuck and trapped in negativity.

 

Some of these feelings and behaviours can be difficult to think about, because they are unconscious, rooted in our past experiences and relationships.

 

In the sessions, you can bring anything that bothers you. We will work together to understand and think about your difficult feelings and unravel these puzzling roots. By understanding your patterns and coping strategies, you begin to free yourself from anxiety, 'stuckness' and negative emotions. You improve your self-esteem and you will build a more secure and confident self to rely on in every aspect of your life.

Training, Qualifications and Experience

I have gone through a five year intensive psychotherapy training at WPF, one of the leading training centres for psychotherapists in the country. I hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Roehampton University.

 

I have been involved in the field of Psychology since 2007 having done a great deal of research in mental health. I have worked within WPF Therapy, Private Practice and NHS Homerton Psychotherapy Unit.

I have worked with people from a variety of different backgrounds and suffering from different psychological issues such as depression, chronic fatigue, anxiety and panic attacks, addiction (sexual, gambling, drugs), sexual abuse, eating disorder, trauma, grief and bereavement. 
 
I have also volunteered for the Samaritans providing emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress, despair or suicidal thoughts.

I have a BSc in Psychology from Metropolitan University.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethics, standards and practices.
